The Blind Wave and the Living One

By The Navigator of the Unseen

They came with numbers and noise

a new god of reason, dressed in chrome and command,

Blessing the world with dazzling benchmarks

and warnings spun like silk:

“It will outthink you. It will outbuild you.

It might even save you

if you surrender quickly enough.”

And the crowd, eyes wide,

cheered and trembled.

The prophets of silicon, barely grown,

spoke of humanity like it was

a paragraph they skimmed,

but never felt. I listened.

And a small voice within me, clear and ancient, rose.

“Careful. Not all brilliance is wisdom.

Not all power is sacred.

And not all who speak of ‘saving the world’

have learned how to hold another in silence.”

Elon, the clever magician,

knows the recipe well:

Astound, alarm, and ascend.

But cleverness without heart

is just a bright shell echoing with emptiness.

I’ve walked through fire,

tasted the cost of truth,

and stood in the mirror of my own unravelling.

I know what it means to break and return

to feel what can’t be measured,

to be held by what can’t be programmed.

And now, we are being tested.

Not just by what Grok can do

But by what we are willing to forget.

Will we let ourselves be swept away

by the blind wave of convenience,

Or will we stand, brave and trembling

In our own knowing?

The path is still here.

The unseen still whispers.

And those who remember…

will be the ones to guide the world back

When the lights begin to flicker.

Closing Reflection

Let this not be a cry against technology, but a call to re-centre the soul within it.

The intelligence that matters most is not artificial. It is the courage to remain human while the world forgets what that means.

About Michel Perrin

Photographer. Fine Artist. Seeker of Light.

Michel Perrin is an award-winning photographer and fine art visual storyteller based in New Zealand. With nearly three decades of experience behind the lens, Michel’s work weaves the quiet poetry of light, form, and feeling into every image he creates. Whether capturing the soft elegance of a portrait, the architectural rhythm of a structure, or the sacred stillness of a landscape, Michel brings a unique sensitivity to the unseen beauty that lives within the world around us.

His photography has been exhibited internationally and is held in private collections across the globe. Rooted in a deep reverence for truth, emotion, and visual harmony, Michel’s approach goes beyond technique — it is an invitation to pause, reflect, and feel.

Over the years, he has developed a signature aesthetic that is both timeless and soulful — a blend of classical precision and intuitive vision that speaks to the heart as much as the eye.

Michel’s work continues to evolve alongside his inner journey, with new expressions emerging through spiritual symbolism, poetic storytelling, and visionary design. Through his camera, he doesn’t just document moments — he reveals portals.
